Crosman 2240 Pistol Test.
Pellets used were Crosman Accupel. Similar velocities were obtained with Crosman Powerpel and Eley Wasp.
A short time was allowed to load and to reset the chronograph. This would also allow the Co2 to reach room temperature, although even when a second shot was taken fairly quickly the velocity was found to be much the same. It would be expected that in cold conditions a lower velocity would be obtained. The 2240 is very similar to the other Crosman guns like the Ratcatcher and Rabbit Stopper. The power limit for the 2240 is 6ft. Lbs. The limit for the Rabbit Stopper and Ratcatcher is 12ft. Lbs.
Average Energy was around 5.2 foot pounds with a velocity around 400 feet per second.

is 8” inches. The standard length is 7” inches.
Calibre changes are possible for around £110.00 with
